Head, Human Resource & Admin

Location: Any city, Nigeria

Job Objective(s)

  • Design, implement and maintain best practice Human Resources management structures, policies and procedures for and on behalf of the Organization to optimize work force productivity and efficient manpower management

Job Responsibilities

  • Meet Organisation's manpower requirements by recruitment, employee services, resourcing, learning & development.
  • Implement Balance Score card and ensure alignment in the organization
  • Develop and implement performance management, competency management and career development strategy, policies, procedures and processes to enable the achievements of the Organisation's mandate and strategic objectives
  • Manage all labour related matters
  • Develop and update the job descriptions for all jobs in the agency and update person specifications for the jobs
  • Develop HR planning strategies in line with Organisation's strategies
  • Promote and communicate organisational values and style Ensure competitiveness of existing compensation and benefits package
  • Facilitate the staff appraisal and performance assessment exercises
  • Custodian of HR manual and responsible for interpretation and implementation of the HR policies and procedures
  • Ensure consistency in the implementation of HR policies and procedures
  • Develop and administer annual departmental budget, monitor departmental budget performance/expenditures
  • Retain exclusive access into Organisation's payroll system
  • Oversee the induction programme for new staff
  • Provide coaching and mentoring to direct reports
  • Perform other duties as may be assigned by the GM, Shared Services and Managing

Qualification:

  • A first degree in Business Administration, Industrial Psychology, Social Sciences or related discipline

Minimum Experience:

  • Minimum of 10 years relevant work experience; at least 5 of which must have been spent in a management position

Professional Membership:

  • A professional certificate and/or a post-graduate degree in Psychology, Business Administration or Social Sciences will be an added advantage
